CHLD 2053: Two Dimensional Creative Activities for Young Children

This course focuses on how young children, as they move from scribbles to gradually more representational depictions, most commonly create these pictures through graphic art media. Such graphic art is not only a form of creative expression, which gives the teacher insight into children's thinking, but also is a child's first step toward writing. Participants will examine graphic arts in terms of drawing, printing, and printmaking using various materials.
