CHLD 2083: Homework, Holiday and Summer Activities for School-Age Children


This course is designed to demonstrate that successful school-age programs must be based on the needs and interests of the school-age children being served while encourage the school-age educators to share their expertise with hobbies to help with school-age project development. Participants learn about setting up and monitoring a homework program that will support and encourage school-age children to do their homework and learn through the process. Participants will explore ways to plan activities and thematic projects for those longer child care days during holiday vacations and summer time.
