What does it take to be successful in your career and personal life? Scientific research is pointing to social and emotional abilities as being the differentiating factor in determining professional success in any job. The ability to manage one's feelings and emotions, handle stress, empathize with and understand the needs of others, confront failures and setbacks, approach tasks realistically and optimistically and work well with others are among the competencies encompassed in emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence (EI) assessment and coaching can be used to improve team effectiveness, as an individual development tool, to prepare employees for supervisory and management responsibilities, and in recruitment when used in conjunction with other recruitment methods. A certified professional trained in administering and interpreting the Bar-On EQ-i--a tool recognized as reliable and valid in assessing emotional intelligence competencies, will lead this one-day workshop. Some personal assessment will be provided as well as ways to improve skills in specific areas.
