| This workshop will help to explain the criteria or clinical depression, and how that it may present in older adults versus younger adults. Additionally, we will discuss how to recognize what is known as “pseudo dementia” and how correctly identifying this illness can save an individual from incorrect dementia diagnosis and possible further depression! Lastly, and more importantly, this workshop will discuss recent research about suicide in older adults. We will discuss symptoms and early warning signs as well as risk factors that are unique to this population. Program presented by Piedmont Geriatric Hospital for participants to get CEUs
