Substance Abuse Among Older Adults

This class will explore substance abuse in older adults.  Topics of discussion will include addiction, vulnerabilities in order adults, alcohol and aging, use of over the counter meds, laws concerning narcotic prescriptions, screening and assessment tools, referral and treatment approaches, substance abuse trends and patterns and the metabolism of older adults.
