Employment Law

This workshop is designed to increase the participants’ working knowledge of key areas of employment law and best management practices.  Learn how to avoid unnecessary risks and exposure and how to protect your organization.  Understand how to implement your own organization’s policies in an employment law regulated environment and know when to include human resources in issues that may result in corrective action or escalate from a litigation standpoint.

Successful completion of this course will increase your ability to: have a working knowledge of key areas of employment law and best management practices; avoid unnecessary risk and exposure and learn how to protect your organization; know how to implement your own organization’s policies in an employment law regulated environment; now when to include human resources in issues that may result in corrective action or escalate from a litigation standpoint; identify and understand the various compensatory and punitive damages an organization can face if found guilty of discriminatory practices; identify and understand the various liabilities a supervisor may personally face, under tort law, if found guilty of discriminatory practices; and discuss strategies to facilitate a workplace environment free of discrimination.
