EdVA: ESOL/Saturday Sessions

The purpose of EdVA Saturday Sessions is to model best teaching practices and provide students with ability to enlarge their toolkit of methodology and strategies. Saturday seminars represent an extension of key topics of study and allow students to engage collaboratively in new ways.

Best Practices are modeled to include:
  • Lesson Planning and content area specific methodology
  • Differentiated instruction
  • Kagan Strategies
  • Sample formative assessments
  • Clarification of assignments and other topics such as field placement videos, journals, portfolios and small group projects
