CompTIA Security+

The CompTIA Security+ Certification prep program prepares participants with the knowledge and skills required to install and configure systems to secure applications, networks, and devices; perform threat analysis and respond with appropriate mitigation techniques; participate in risk mitigation activities; and operate with an awareness of applicable policies, laws, and regulations. Security+ completers are equipped to identify security risks and mitigate system incidents. The CompTIA Security+ Exam and materials are included. 

Classes are held online via Zoom and Canvas. 
Class structure will include 40 hours of synchronous instruction and will require additional asynchronous study time for exam preparation.
Additional review sessions are scheduled at the conclusion of class(es), information will be provided in Canvas.
 

Pre-requisites:  CompTIA IT Fundamentals+ Certification or prior IT Security work experience.  CompTIA A+ and Network+ Certifications are strongly encouraged to ensure successful understanding of Network and Security terminologies.

Expected: You must attend 70% of all scheduled class hours, in addition to completing any other requirements set by the instructor, and sit for the Industry Credential exam. Credential exams will be taken upon the conclusion of class, information will be provided in Canvas.
