The CompTIA A+ Computer Repair Technician program fulfills the requirements of the official CompTIA training curriculum. This practical hands-on class will prepare participants to become CompTIA A+ certified, representing industry acknowledgement of technical skills and competencies related to computer repair and computer information technologies. This course covers the key terminology and concepts needed to pass the exam, all in a condensed format for rapid retention. Exam(s) and materials included.
Classes are held online via Zoom and Canvas.
Class structure will include 68 hours of synchronous instruction and will require an additional 20 hours of asynchronous study time for exam preparation.
A+ is a two-part class with two exams. Core 1 is taught with 30 hours of instruction, 4 hours of review with 10 hours of asynchronous study time and Core 2 is taught with 30 hours of instruction, 4 hours of review with 10 hours of asynchronous study time.
The Core 1 exam will be taken during class and Core 2 will be taken at the conclusion of class.
Minimum total class time is 88 hours.
Pre-requisites: CompTIA IT Fundamentals+ Certification or prior IT work experience.
Expected: You must attend 70% of all scheduled class hours, in addition to completing any other requirements set by the instructor, and sit for the Industry Credential exam. Credential exams will be taken upon the conclusion of class, information will be provided in Canvas.
