This program will prepare the student for a career in the nursing field. Training will focus on the improvement and enhancement of quality of life for long-term care residents and introduce the growing need in long-term care.

Course Topics:
  • The nurse aide's role focusing on legal responsibilities, desirable qualities, accountability, standards of conduct, and professionalism
  • Appropriate personal care of long-term residents and special needs residents
  • Successful completion of the Nurse Aid Competency Evaluation and Exams
